Kyoto life Blogs

GTK would like to introduce the real Kyoto life by GTK bloggers. Some of them migrated from their countries
to Kyoto, and want to share how to enjoy the Kyoto life. These blogs are quite useful for visiting Kyoto, and also
for people who hope to live in Japan.

Shimyo-in Temple was founded by the high priest, Kukai in the 8th century to protect the God of Kamo River, and also be the place where Hayao Miyazaki, the director of Studio Ghibli, had been inspired by some sprit of nature when he made a famous film, Princess Mononoke.

The local guide will take us to the safe way and explain about some unique plants on the mountain on the day.
