Kyoto life Blogs

GTK would like to introduce the real Kyoto life by GTK bloggers. Some of them migrated from their countries
to Kyoto, and want to share how to enjoy the Kyoto life. These blogs are quite useful for visiting Kyoto, and also
for people who hope to live in Japan.

Ashu Forest was nominated!

ASHU

Ashu Forest, ranged between Nantan city and Tanba town of the northern part of Kyoto Pref.,was nominated for the quasi-national park by Japanese Ministry of the Environment. The primeval cedar grove and the environment with rare plants are seem to be appreciated. If Ashu was to determined, unnecessary development will be escaped, but at once, many tourist will visit there.

This forest is called the last “trackless region” in the Kansai area, so some people may feel a kind of confusing. Actually I’ve never been to there. I want to try going there before Ashu becomes to the national park.
