Kyoto life Blogs

GTK would like to introduce the real Kyoto life by GTK bloggers. Some of them migrated from their countries
to Kyoto, and want to share how to enjoy the Kyoto life. These blogs are quite useful for visiting Kyoto, and also
for people who hope to live in Japan.

Tea room opening

  • April 9-2010
  • Chikako Takemoto
  • Kyoto
Shusui-tei tea room is opening to public only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

It’s located on the southwest corner of the Palace, the photo above is the sign of the entrance.
It’s rustic, built about 200 years ago by Kujo family, and so tranquil.
Fortunately I could see a real bride inside the room. Their wedding costumes are traditional and the white kimono of the bride is breathtakingly beatutiful!
Shusui-tei tea room 拾翠亭
9:30-15:30 on Fri, Sat & Sun Admission ¥100
