The Japanese garden open to the public

This is a good opportunity to see the Japanese pond garden of Heian-jingu Shrine in which the autumn flowers are blooming. It is free of charge to get in. (usual price ¥600)

  • 8:30-16:30
  • Heian-jingu Shrine (in the Okazaki area in the east part of Kyoto city)

  • Known as Tenjin-san, a popular flea market at one of Kyoto's major shrines. Antiques, food, tools and so on.
