Eshi 100 – Contemporary Japanese Illustration in Kyoto

Eshi was the name of an artist of Ukiyo-e, wood-block printings in the Edo era.
This time contemporary illustrations with the theme “Japan” by 105 artists called “Eshi” by their fan will be exhibited.
You can enjoy modern expressions of Japanese images done in a manga style and note the differences from the Ukiyo-e style.
