This is a commemorative exhibition, celebrating the 110th anniversary of Higashiyama Kaii (1908-1999) who is considered to be one of Japana’s preeminent landscape painters.
This exhibition will display approximately Higashiyam’s 80 works including his remarkable masterpiece, the sliding door pictures with 68 parts of Toshodai-ji Temple in Nara.
Don’t miss the first large-scale exhibition to be held in Kyoto in 30 years.
- August 29th ~ October 8th, 9:30-17:00 (-21:00 on Fridays & Saturdays. Entry by 30 minutes before close). Closed on Mondays. (open if Monday is holiday and next Tuesday is closed.)
