Arts & Performances

Kyoto is a birth place of traditional arts, crafts and performances of Japan,
and has been maintaining its tradition with the coming of the new age.
Here GTK'd like to introduce the monthly art highlights, museums, creators etc.

Louvre Museum: Genre Painting ― Scenes from Daily Life

This exhibition will display about 80 works from the Louvre Museum collection, featuring European paintings from the 16th to the 19th century. The paintings depict scenes about the daily life of farmers and labourers, couples, mothers and children, and much more.
The highlight of this exhibition is a famous masterpiece by Johannes Vermeer, displayed in Japan for the first time.
