Takehisa Yumeji in the memory- Commemoration of acquisition: The Kawanishi Hide Collection

Takehisa Yumeji (1884-1934) was a popular painter whose works using motifs of beautiful women wearing kimono fascinated people. His works were used for mediums such as magazine covers, leaflets etc. This exhibition displays about 600 works by Yumeji and other painters collected by Kawanishi Hide, who was a woodblock artist and had cultivated a friendship with Yumeji.
