Ohitaki Festival

This is a thanksgiving event for the rice harvest at this head shrine of Inari shrines throughout Japan. Three large bonfires are lit and about 100,000 goma prayers sticks are burned. You can start hiking of the Kyoto circuit trail from this shrine.(http://www.greentour-kyoto.net/green_east01.html)

Kifune Shrine: November 7th, 11:00-12:00 (get off at Kifune Station on Eidan Line)
Ebisu Shrine: November 16th, 14:00~ (5 mins. from Gion-shijo Station on Keihan line)
Koryu-ji Temple: November 22nd, 9:00-16:30 (get off at Uzumasa-koryuji mae Stop of Kyoto bus no.71, 72 or73)
Shiramine Shrine: November 23rd, 18:00-
Kenkun Shrine: November 23rd, 11:00-
