January 9th

Shichifukujin-meguri Event

This is a lucky tour of the New Year to visit seven Gods at this temple and sub temples. You can get a unique talisman with an image of one of the Gods at each temple.(¥300~¥500 each) Also you can warm up with sweet sake or sweet bean porridge being served.

Access: 15 minutes walk from Tofukuji Station on Keihan line. Or GTK recommends that you follow the route of “The Kyoto Circuit Trail” from Fushimi-Inari-taisha Shrine. It takes about 1 hour hike from the top of Mt. Inari located back of the shrine. That’s a “green” way of visiting! (see the GTK website: http://www.greentour-kyoto.net/green_east01.html)
