Bernard Leach (1887-1979) was a potter who grew up in Japan and studied ceramic under Kenzan Ogata. He was influenced by Muneyoshi Yanagi who was the leader of the folkcraft movements and had a friendship with famous Japanese potters such as Kanjiro Kawai.
This exhibition is held to commemorate the 125th anniversary of his birth. About his 100 potteries and 20 woodblock printings are displayed this time.
