Kyoto is a birth place of traditional arts, crafts and performances of Japan,
and has been maintaining its tradition with the coming of the new age.
Here GTK'd like to introduce the monthly art highlights, museums, creators etc.

Kamogawa odori

Spring is the season that each kagai, maiko and geiko town of Kyoto holds a spring dance performance. You can enjoy the beautiful dances, songs and gorgeous kimono costumes of maiko and geiko on a spectacular stage.
Kamogawa odori is held by the maiko and geiko of Pontocho district, one of four kagai in Kyoto. Pontocho theater is located along the Kamo riverbank in downtown Kyoto.
