Arts & Performances

Kyoto is a birth place of traditional arts, crafts and performances of Japan,
and has been maintaining its tradition with the coming of the new age.
Here GTK'd like to introduce the monthly art highlights, museums, creators etc.

The 63rd annual Kyoto Takigi-Noh

This is an annual outdoor noh performance by firelight, and is suitable for the novice noh appreciator. You can enjoy the silent world, the sounds of the fire burning and the traditional noh backing music of Japanese drums and flutes as night falls. We recommend that you understand the stories before the performance starts. (There are English programs available.)
