Kyoto is a birth place of traditional arts, crafts and performances of Japan,
and has been maintaining its tradition with the coming of the new age.
Here GTK'd like to introduce the monthly art highlights, museums, creators etc.

Tessaido collection -Antique accessories

Tessai-do shop (てっさい堂), located in the heart of Gion, Kyoto, is a popular shop for the collection of sophisticated antique accessories and potteries.
The owner of this shop, Hiroko Kido has been collecting the antiques for about 30 years. Her collection is displayed on all walls of the shop.
Especially small plates with blue color called Imari are proud of their wide range of pattern and size. They look so fun!
And the accessories for kimono are recommended to see, too. They have a lot of images such as animals, fruit, plants, Japanese culture etc.
