This month's plans

"This month's plans" offers you some ideas to visit and feel at peace during your stay as well as enjoy seasonal events in Kyoto. They are mostly in outdoor, including some mountains, so that you can enjoy a green and healthy stay and save money as well!

Umekoji Park (梅小路公園)

Umekoji Park

This is a family-friendly outdoor space, containing an aquarium and a railway museum. Visitors can enjoy home-made lunch in a big lawn square as well as at the restaurant or cafe in the park. There are a beautiful Japanese garden and biotope in the center of the park where is a perfect place to feel nature in downtown nearby Kyoto station.
Kyoto Railway Museum has just opened last year. Very nostalgic vehicles, for Japanese, such as a old type shinkansen, sleeper trains and steam locomotives, among others are displayed and the dioramas, the simulator facility along with other fun activity space are equipped in the museum.
Visitors of all generations can stay in the park all day with various activities.

Kyoto Railway Museum
Open at 10:00-17:30, closed on Wednesday, December 31 and January 1
Admission fee: ¥1200/adult, ¥1000/university and high-school students, ¥500/junior-high and elementary school students, ¥200/toddler
