Fudehajime-sai Festival

This is the event called Kakizome, the special New Year Calligraphy.
Sugawara Michizane who is enshrined at Kitano-Tenmangu Shrine is a well-known calligrapher in the 9th century. You can show your calligraphy work at this festival.
