"This month's plans" offers you some ideas to visit and feel at peace during your stay as well as enjoy seasonal events in Kyoto. They are mostly in outdoor, including some mountains, so that you can enjoy a green and healthy stay and save money as well!

August 6th ~ 15th

Kyo-no-Tanabata Festival


Various events will be held on two riverbanks, the Horikawa Stream and the Kamo River.
The Horikawa Stream (Oike ~ Ichijo-modoribashi) : A Milky Way created by LED and lighting Nishijin-ori textile will be displayed. Various events will be held. Such as Nijo Castle illumination, a Kimono-Show at Nishijin-ori Textile Center, a workshop of Yuzen dying etc.
The Kamo River ( Shijo ~ Oike) : LED bamboo with paper decorations and bamboo lanterns will be displayed on the riverbank. Maiko will serve some tea and dessert at a special cafe on Ponto-cho Street beside the river.
