To celebrate the completion of the new wing of Kyoto National Museum, Heisei Chishinkan, a commemorative exhibition will be held. The museum will display a rich collection of treasures the ancient capital has, such as the masterpieces of paintings, calligraphy, sculpture etc. including 50 National Treasures and over 110 Important Cultural Properties.
It would be a splendid chance to see fine art as entitled “Splendors of the Ancient Capital”.

  • September 13th ~ November 16th, 9:30-17:00 (entry by 16:30), closed on Mondays (if Monday is a holiday, the museum is open and closed on Tuesday.)
