This is a seasonal exhibition featuring a collection of botanical illustrations and crafts from the Royal Botanical Garden, Kew in London.
English Gardening is a style of gardening which English people created and have fostered for centuries.
Beautiful, rare plants in English gardening were primarily collected in the era of the British Empire and created unique and original designs.
The Royal Botanical Garden, Kew was established as a private garden owned by the Royal family, but in 1841 opened to public as a national institute. Currently it is renowned as the best botanical research facility in the world.
You can enjoy a collection of elaborate botanical art and the difference between western gardening and Japanese. Also if you show the ticket of this exhibition at Kyoto Botanical Garden during the exhibition, you can see and explore a specially made English garden free of charge.
