Art Aquarium Castle -Celebrating 400 years of Rimpa


This event will be held to cerebrate the 400th anniversary of the art school “Rimpa” established in the Edo period.
Art producer Kimura Hidetomo will provide a gorgeous and attractive exhibition using many gold fish in the evening at Nijo Castle in Kyoto.
The theme is the collaboration of artistic aquariums and Japanese art, including Japanese paintings and Kimonos.
You can enjoy a fascinating fusion of art and historical Japanese culture in the magnificent castle grounds at night, this fall.



  • October 23rd ~ December 14th, 17:00-22:00 (last entrance21:30)
  • Nijo Castle
  • ¥1600/junior high school students and above, ¥1000/elementary school students and under, free for under 3 years old and younger.
